Hey all... I sure do miss you all!

Well, a lot has happened since the last post.

I have been working 10-12 hours a day at a welding shop in Chattanooga (an hour a way - I leave at 4:45 in the morning and get to work by 6:46 but I leave at 3:30 and get home by 3:31 - you figure it out!). I love working hard and enjoy making big, heavy, metal, things. It is manly!

We had terrible news this past week - the baby that Amy is carrying... died at 20 weeks. We are profoundly saddened and trying to make heads or tails of the circumstances that God has brought us into.

Sorry to be such a bummer in my first post in weeks - please remember to pray for us.

Odds and Ends

Let me see if I remember how this posting thing works...

Ok, here we go. Have you guys seen this?

Simply hilarious!

And here's one more. I was looking at some of the stuff at the Together for the Gospel website, when a picture popped up that caught my attention. There in the middle of the T4G website are three of the pastors from my church!

Just a quick update. I'm up to my eyeballs in papers and reading. Hopefully this will be my final semester at MTSU, and I'll be graduating in May. Then I will either start teaching or decide to pursue a masters...(or both?)

I've found several ways to throw the word this semester. I'm taking a global issues class where just today we discussed the role of faith and science in the decisions that are made concerning environmental issues and the effects of over-population. (Steve!!! Someone suggested that we should make having large families taboo in order to discourage people from having more than 2-3 kids!! I raised my hand and said,"Um, speaking of taboos, let me tell you about my friend and his nine children...")

I'm also dealing with a lot of the cultural changes in both America and Europe over the last 200 years. It's tying together a lot of loose ends from all the philosophy and apologetic classes I've taken over the years. Very interesting!

And finally, I'm taking a class on Europe during the Reniassance and Reformation. I'll be doing a paper on John Wycliffe, so I look forward to posting some of the lessons I learn as the semester progresses.

How is everyone else doing?
